Ok- one more change to the letter-  Since I mentioned sponsors sending in a
personal note, I will add if someone else wants to send in a personal note,
know that it will be put in the candidate's 4th Day envelope to be read at
the conclusion of the weekend.  I think that will address our concern, but
still keep with National's request.  Thanks. C

Hi all,

Thanks for your feedback re: my note to the community re: Palanca notes.  I
know we would all love to see many notes delivered from the local community,
so hopefully this will help.  Here is my second draft of the letter with a
few slight changes re: palanca and palanca notes (to be clear what palanca
is and is not), so please review and send in feedback.  

 

I also know we all have received many personal notes in the past, but we
should attempt to follow the National guidelines with the hope that they
will reflect on this guideline and change it accordingly, if we give them
feedback on our observations about it.   I am in agreement with you, but we
are stewards of the Movement and should attempt to offer authentic weekends
as intended by our founder and the present International/National leaders.  

 

A bit of history for you all- In the past the Secretariat asked people to
write personally handwritten notes and not send in photocopies, to
personalize the notes, but that didn't seem to happen.  A lot more work to
write all those notes to everyone 3x!!  

 

We can discuss further at a future meeting.  BTW- we need to be thinking
about rector and rectora for the Fall weekends soon- that is only 6 months
away!!  Time is flying.
