I am sending the link to you so you can see that the prices have gone up. Holly had alerted me about this late last year.. Calculating what we need I am asking the Secretariat to approve an order for $1,558.00. I will not place the order until after our Wednesday meeting and your approval. Here's the link for you to see the new prices for the following items: Pilgrim's Guides, Sponsor booklets, What is Cursillo? booklets, Service sheets, Group reunion sheets, Our 4th Day books, Spiritual Advisor Guides, and Cursillo Crosses. Roughly it breaks down to about $25 per person (which is our estimate in our overall donation for a weekend). I am ordering new Spiritual Guides as we are having deacons on the weekends as well, and all the kits do NOT have SD's in them anymore. Thanks for looking this over before our meeting. See you at 6pm Wednesday evening. NO MORE SNOW!!!!!!!!!!!! Cursillo Literature | Catholic Cursillo Books God bless, Claudette "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." I know we would all love to see many notes delivered from the local community, so hopefully this will help. Here is my second draft of the letter with a few slight changes re: palanca and palanca notes (to be clear what palanca is and is not), so please review and send in feedback. I also know we all have received many personal notes in the past, but we should attempt to follow the National guidelines with the hope that they will reflect on this guideline and change it accordingly, if we give them feedback on our observations about it. I am in agreement with you, but we are stewards of the Movement and should attempt to offer authentic weekends as intended by our founder and the present International/National leaders. A bit of history for you all- In the past the Secretariat asked people to write personally handwritten notes and not send in photocopies, to personalize the notes, but that didn't seem to happen. A lot more work to write all those notes to everyone 3x!! We can discuss further at a future meeting. BTW- we need to be thinking about rector and rectora for the Fall weekends soon- that is only 6 months away!! Time is flying. De Colores. Only a couple seemed to be thinking of day 1, day, 2, day 3. While I know the personal notes are nice, it is also just nice to know that everyone is praying for us and does it lift us up. I do think that the sponsor letter should get to the candidate before the weekend ends, and there are too many letters to read aloud - so I ended up posting some and just sending some in the envelopes. In terms of the sponsor letter - it lets the candidate know why this person sponsored them or what they might want to share as they journey together. And - that may be lost if sent only in the envelopes which they may or may not get around to opening and reading. The letter Claudette wrote explains the changes well. I think it would be great to have ?sections? but I don?t think we are ready to delve that far yet. It would be great if the section leaders formed little committees on their own for now - if there are things you need help doing? At some point in the future these groups could form the basis for our leaders school. But until then - we?d be building the bricks to form a stronger school. I talked with Steve Duffley and he reminded me that forming the team for the weekend is a lot like mini-leaders school - because we don't have a leaders school to draw from, and also people are quite busy already - the team formation involves quite a bit of learning about our mentality and reasoning for the movement.
