Hi all,

Happy ?Quiet Saturday? to all.  Tomorrow (or this evening) we celebrate the Resurrection of Jesus, which changed the world!!!  May we all be Easter People and boldly proclaim this Good News- that God loves us so much that His Son died and rose from the dead to give us eternal life with the Blessed Trinity and the Saints and Angels in Heaven forever!!!

 

Just a quick update- Rick Simmons finally got back to me and has graciously declined to be the Fall Rector- in fact he has said that his days on team are over and that he prefers to stay in the background and be in a more supportive role as a sponsor and Ultreya leader.  I thanked him for prayerfully discerning and wished him well in his parish music ministry and Ultreya.  Please pray for his son-in-law in NY state who has been in the hospital with some serious issues. +

 

May you all have a very blessed Easter- it?s NOT about the bunny, it?s about the LAMB!!! ??

Hi all,

I have been in contact with Diane Cantin re: Paul being our Fall rector, but unfortunately, he is not well enough to accept the responsibility.  Please keep him in your prayers.  

 

I have thus, spoken with Kevin Gauthier re: the position again since we discussed it at our last Secretariat meeting, and he is discerning with prayers and discussing with his wife, Laura.  He will let me know soon.

 

I had thought to ask Marc Parenteau, but I understand there are health challenges in his family right now, as well, so I didn?t think it was a good time to ask him.

 

I held off on asking Scott Kingsley until next Spring (which would be in Jyl?s sphere) and with the Secretariat advising her.  He is ready, but as in the past, we have not asked anyone closer than a year and half out from last team experience, so that we don?t burn people out? Spring would b 1 ? years since he was Jim?s asst.

 

Please keep Kevin in prayer as he discerns being the Fall Rector.  I have also spoken to him about asking a couple of people to assist him in his role as 3 Day Coordinator, so that he is training people to potentially take over when his term is done.  It will also help him to organize with less distractions for the Fall weekend.

 

Have a blessed week.  Please be praying for the success of this weekend?s Women?s Cursillo #332 and Happy 1st Birthday to Len?s grandson. ??

All:

We received notification today that the State of NH has approved our application to be a Non-Profit Corporation.  I?ve attached the approval documents for your perusal.

The next step in our journey is to file with the IRS for an EIN (tax ID) which I will do tomorrow.  Once received, the bank accounts can be modified with that number and we can set up to take electronic payments.  Finally, we can apply to the IRS for 5013c status once we have an EIN.

At our next Secretariat meeting, we will need to consider and approve Bylaws.

I guess I?m on a roll tonight.   I have submitted the 1023-EZ for tax exempt status to the IRS.   I understand from Josh that once they pick it up an process/approve it (may be several weeks), we will be considered a Tax-Exempt Non-Profit Corporate under 5013(c) as of today.  We could in theory take tax deductible contributions as of tomorrow.

Sandy, I included your email on the payment info CC.   You should receive an email from the IRS indicating that we paid $275 via the card.   I have attached the receipt below.  Let me know if you can?t read that.
