The team and I are looking forward to meeting you in a couple of weeks. I am Rob Dachowski, your Rector for Cursillo #327 at Camp Sentinel in Tuftonboro, NH on 4/24-27. This note will lay out the logistics for the weekend. Transportation: Your sponsor will be bringing you to Camp Sentinel on Thursday evening and will be picking you up / bringing you home on Sunday evening. You don?t have a need for your car during the weekend - everything we need is at the camp. Arrival: Your sponsor and you should plan to arrive by 6:30 PM on Thursday. Departure: We should be finishing the weekend and departing for home around 5:00-ish PM on Sunday. Food: On Thursday, you should plan to eat dinner before arriving. All of the rest of the meals (Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner) will be provided. Coffee, soda, water, and snacks are available throughout the weekend (even on Thursday evening). Sleeping Arrangements: Camp Sentinel provides twin beds with Tempurpedic mattresses. You should plan to bring whatever sleeping bedding you?d like including pillows, sheets, blankets, sleeping bag, etc. Some beds have outlets nearby. Toiletries and Medication: Please bring any/all toiletries including towels, face cloths, soap, shampoo, hair brush, etc. that you will want for the weekend. There are 5 showers available. Also, please bring any medications that you require. You will be responsible for handling and administering any medication you require. What to Wear: Bring comfortable clothing for day and nighttime. We may take some short walks on dirt roads weather permitting, so bring appropriate footwear as well. You may also want to bring a pair of slippers if your bed is not directly near a bathroom. Electronic Devices: Part of the point of the Cursillo weekend is to get away from the world and focus on building our relationship with Jesus and each other. Electronic devices can be a big distraction. Ideally speaking, you would leave your phone, laptop, etc. at home because you won?t need them. If there are any emergencies, some of the team members will have a cell phone available. Also, cell coverage at the camp is fair at best. On the other hand, some people need to have their phones for health monitoring. Please use your judgement as to whether or not you bring them. But if you do, please refrain from using them if possible. Valuables: While the Men of Cursillo 327 and the Camp Sentinel staff should be the only people in the camp, it is best not to bring anything valuable. There are no locked doors at the camp even for your rooms, so please use your best judgement as to what you may bring. What to Expect: This is a LOW stress weekend. Generally speaking, the weekend will consist of a series of mini workshops, activities, food, fun, etc. There will be breaks built into the schedule throughout each day. Meals, breaks, etc. are all planned out, so you don?t need to worry about where to be and when - the team will let you know where to be, what we are doing, and when. We will aim to be done for the day between 9:30-10 PM and will plan to be starting activities by 7:00 AM. It is up to you when you?d like to shower, etc. but we will need to stay more/less on schedule, particularly for meals. I think that?s it for now, but if you have any questions, please don't hesitate to call me. Please let your family know that if there is an issue / emergency at home during the weekend to please call your sponsor or call me on my cell phone listed below. Have a Blessed Holy Week! _____________________________ Best Regards, Rob Dachowski (603) 305-9508 rob at dachowski.com -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... On Thursday evening, please try to arrive between 3:30 - 4:00 at the latest. We will set the room up, have Mass at 4:30, then eat before the Cursillistas arrive. Claudette will be bringing a large pan of Lasagna and salad. Please let me know if that is an issue for anyone. At this point, we have 7 candidates - I?d love to have 10! Claudette and I received a call from the Camp Sentinel Director this morning to discuss the logistics for Sunday afternoon. It turns out that they have another concurrent event at the camp around the same time as our closing. To make a long story short, we will plan to eat lunch in the Dining Room, and then will move to the Wigwam Chapel down the road for the afternoon activities. This will include Mass and the closing. The other event will be held in a building next to the Wigwam Chapel, but they will need the dining room immediately after that event because they will be eating dinner in the dining hall, so, we will need to break down the Rollo room immediately after lunch and move anything into the ?fishbowl? room. We have been invited for anyone who wants Chili and Cornbread with the other group after our closing. Let me know if you are interested. The Cursillo Community will be directed by the staff on where to park and will be directed to the Chapel. Assuming that the weather is good, the Community may assemble outside and the break in reminiscent of the Sarto. If the weather isn?t good, then we will be at one end of the room and the community at the other until the closing starts. _____________________________ Best Regards, Rob Dachowski (603) 305-9508 rob at dachowski.com -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
